PUDERPINK was month long exhibition at the Puderraum Gallery in Berlin. The aim was to celebrate the colour of pink in any possible form. Jan-Feb, 2017. The exhibition brief infected Matteo Mauro, stimulating both his imagination and his will to experiment with his own artistic language. Pink absolute protagonist of the scene and pink in contrast with the black. Different shades of the same color, the result of lights and shadows that tangle on themselves for new representations, both material and abstract. A way to see, through the magnifying glass of art, an iconic and at the same time ironic color. A filter of his double face muffled and trasgressive, fully incarnated by an exhibition-event that has continued the work of art itself.
Pink è un progetto di Matteo Mauro che comprende una serie di opere legate a una mostra berlinese intitolata Puder Pink [Once Upon A Pink], tenutasi alla Galleria Puderraum di Puderstraße 1 per un mese, da gennaio a febbraio 2017. Una celebrazione del colore rosa in qualsiasi forma possibile che ha contagiato l’artista, stimolando sia la sua immaginazione che la sua volontà di sperimentare in digitale. Rosa protagonista assoluto della scena e rosa in contrasto col nero. Tonalità diverse dello stesso colore, frutto di luci e ombre che si aggrovigliano su sé stesse per nuove rappresentazioni tanto materiche, quanto astratte. Un modo per vedere, attraverso la lente d’ingrandimento dell’arte, un colore iconico e contemporaneamente ironico. Un filtro della sua duplice faccia ovattata e trasgressiva, incarnata a pieno da una mostra-evento che si è fatta prosecuzione dell’opera d’arte stessa.
