Matteo Mauro Studio is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming edition of Arte Fiera Bologna, once again presented by Prometeo Gallery by Ida Pisani. This marks the third consecutive year of collaboration between Matteo Mauro and Prometeo Gallery at Arte Fiera, confirming a solid and growing presence within one of Italy’s most influential contemporary art platforms. Arte Fiera Bologna, takes place from 6 to 8 February 2026 for its 49th edition.

Founded in 1974, Arte Fiera Bologna is the longest running art fair in Italy and a historic reference point for the national art system. Following a highly successful 2025 edition,  which brought together many of the most prestigious Italian galleries and leading collectors, Arte Fiera 2026 opens a new curatorial cycle under the artistic direction of Davide Ferri, supported by Enea Righi as operational director.

The 2026 edition is titled Cosa sarà (What Will Be), a theme that introduces a strong forward looking momentum and reflects a desire to rethink and renew the art fair format. The title alludes to a degree of imponderability and openness, an essential element that continues to bind collectors, professionals, and enthusiasts to the art of the present.

Mauro displays some of his new and old artworks from the Oil on Canvas series, taking the fiere as another opportunity to display their beauty at such a grand scale. The artist’s ambition for this third year is to truly cement his series, Inscriptions on Canvas. These artworks are a fusion of traditional and contemporary lines blurred together with oil to create a focused and resonant artwork, capable of leaving a strong impression on both longstanding collectors and new audiences.

The upcoming edition of Arte Fiera Bologna represents an important opportunity for Matteo Mauro Studio to build upon the momentum of previous years. The fair’s context is both critical and commercial provides an ideal platform to present Mauro’s evolving practice and to engage with an audience attentive to innovation, coherence, and depth of research.

The Prometeo Gallery is located within the fair in the Main Section, Booth 49 Hall 25.
