As spring arrives in Milan, so does the highly anticipated return of MIART 2026. Matteo Mauro is pleased to participate in the 2026 edition of one of Europe’s leading international fairs dedicated to modern and contemporary art, celebrating its 30th anniversary year. This year’s edition will take place at MiCo South, Level 0, Booth B14, where Mauro’s latest artwork, Inscriptions on Canvas, will be presented by Prometeo Gallery.

At Booth B14, visitors will encounter Mauro’s newest series, Inscriptions on Canvas, a continuation of his ongoing exploration into material and matter, focusing on merging his raw language with his relief series, bronze on canvas. This sparked the evolution of a new artwork, expanding his established research from Inscriptions as mark-making into a terrain of encoded memory and symbolic reconstruction. Transforming the iconic canvas into a dynamic display of engraved gestures that oscillate between abstraction and decipherable language.
