100Arte Lambrate: On display will be the works of Matteo Mauro in dialogue with Noah Guitars. Enriching the evening is the event “Urban Soundscapes,” featuring Livio Magnini (guitarist of Bluvertigo), Xabier Iriondo (guitarist of Afterhours), and Elio Marchesini (percussionist of La Scala).
Matteo Mauro Studio is participating in the 100Arte Lambrate event to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the neighborhood, the artistic heart of the city, which beats even stronger today.
On Thursday, December 14th, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the versatile artist, globally esteemed and appreciated, will open the doors of his studio for an evening of music and art.
Guests will have the opportunity to admire Matteo Mauro’s latest works, such as the cycle of Atoms for peace, against war, created with iridescent metals that, when exposed to titanium nitride, break down light, naturally creating the vibrant and cheerful colors of the rainbow. Also featured will be the famous Micromegalic Inscriptions series that has made him famous and appreciated worldwide. These works will interact with the historical guitars of Lambrate, the Noah Guitars. Unique and artistic guitars played by great international musicians such as Loo Reed, Ben Harper, Saturnino, and many other music talents.
In addition to the visual experience, there will be a symphony of sounds. Matteo Mauro Studio will host “Urban Soundscapes,” a musical performance presented by Noah Guitars, with Livio Magnini (Bluvertigo guitarist) on augmented guitar and string instruments, Xabier Iriondo (Afterhours guitarist) on guitar and string instruments, and Elio Marchesini (La Scala percussionist) on percussion instruments.
On the occasion of this centenary, the courtyard of the Luna di Lambrate building will light up, and together with Matteo Mauro Studio, they will open to the public the other historical galleries of the district. Boccanera Gallery, Francesca Minini, Galleria Monopoli, Prometeo Gallery present a series of contemporary art exhibitions, while on Via Ponte di Legno, ArtNoble Gallery opens the doors to Flatlandia.
“I am proud to be part of this event,” comments Matteo Mauro. “100Arte Lambrate is not just an event but a celebration of the cultural heritage of this extraordinary neighborhood and its constant commitment to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression. A small neighborhood of peace with a dynamic heart in this extraordinary city that I have chosen as my second home and that never ceases to provide me with new stimuli. So, I invite you to join us in large numbers for this special evening to witness the convergence of past and present in a kaleidoscope of creativity.”
Thanks to Made in Lambrate and the Municipality 3 of the City of Milan for their contribution to this artistic celebration. The event is realized in collaboration with NOE s.a.s. and Alessio De Pellegrin.
