Rusted Radishes. Beirut Literary and Art Journal exhibited Matteo Mauro’s artwork Aquamarine at the Sharjah Art Foundation’s first art book fair in november 2018 and at the launch of their 7th issue, Crossing Borders.

Sharjah Art Foundation organized in november 2018 the first edition of FOCAL POINT, “an annual art book fair that presents, engages, circulates, sells and distributes varied printed matter and products by publishers from the region and across the world. It invited publishers — both independent and mainstream — will present their products”.

Sharjah Art Foundation is an advocate, catalyst and producer of contemporary art within the Emirate of Sharjah and the surrounding region, in dialogue with the international arts community. Under the leadership of founder Hoor Al Qasimi, a curator and artist, the foundation advances an experimental and wide-ranging programmatic model that supports the production and presentation of contemporary art, preserves and celebrates the distinct culture of the region and encourages a shared understanding of the transformational role of art”.

Rusted Radishes: Beirut Literary and Art Journal is a magazine that publishes writing, translations, artwork, graphic narratives and acknowledges Beirut as revolving door of influences and cultures, its history, and its perch on the Mediterranean, the heart of a unique convergence of voices.
