Il progetto di Matteo Mauro nasce per discutere e riflettere sull’arte contemporanea a partire dalle pratiche messe in atto da ogni artista ospitato in puntata. Spesso, emergono sconfinamenti e contaminazioni fra diversi mezzi di espressione. Con Ruf Dug siamo davanti a un artista musicale per il quale la pratica artistica è imprescindibile dalla pratica musicale.
Musica intesa come sonorità proveniente da vecchie colonne sonore di videogiochi, commistioni tra calore analogico e stranezze digitali per un risultato che è anche cyberpunk tropicale. Troppo sfuggente per ridurlo a unica definizione; per Ruf Dug l’arte è un tutto e non un solo. È forse una forma di nomadismo inteso come attraversamento di infinite contaminazioni. Nomadismo che ha praticato prima sulla sua pelle, da Manchester fino a Sidney, passando per Ibiza tra underground, squat jams e sex parties.
